Оптимист и пессимист смотрели на воду в стакане. Оптимист сказал, что стакан наполовину полный. Пессимист сказал, что стакан наполовину пустой. Оптимист полон счастья. Пессимист видит шип под розой, а оптимист, напротив, видит цветок розы. Как пессимизм, так и оптимизм зависят от дришти (видения или отношения). Они тесно связаны между собой. Безнадежность возникает из-за неправильного видения. Оптимист и пессимист идут по одному пути. Оптимист смотрит вверх и видит небо и звезды, а пессимист смотрит вниз и видит ямы. Оба идут по одной дороге. Но есть разница в их видении и точках зрения. Поменяйте свое видение и смотрите на все как на Бога. Поймите разницу между обычным видением и видением через очки. Мы видим цвета своим естественным зрением. В синих очках все кажется синим. Когда вы смотрите на мир через очки любви, весь мир кажется полным любви. Все превращается в любовь. Очки закрывают глаза, но не мешают видению. Бог полон любви. Когда вы надеваете очки любви, вы видите правильный цвет и получаете полное представление. — Божественная речь, 26 апреля 1997 г.
Когда у вас есть видение, наполненное любовью, весь космос кажется Брахма-майам (пронизанным Божественностью). Когда вы смотрите на мир физическим зрением, он кажется набором страданий от рождения до смерти.

Why should we choose to be optimists and work through challenges in our daily lives? Bhagawan explains and also tells us how we can become true optimists.
An optimist and a pessimist looked at water in a tumbler. The optimist said that the glass was half full. The pessimist said, the tumbler was half empty. The optimist is full of happiness. The pessimist sees the thorn below the rose; the optimist, on the other hand, sees the rose flower. Pessimism and optimism both depend on drishti (vision or attitude). The two are closely related. Hopelessness arises out of faulty vision. The optimist and the pessimist walk on the same path. The optimist looks up and sees the sky and the stars, whereas the pessimist looks down and sees pits. Both are walking on the same road. But there is a difference in their vision and their points of view. Change your vision and see everything as God. Understand the difference between vision and spectacles. We see colours with our natural vision. With blue-coloured spectacles, everything appears blue. When you see the world with the spectacles of love, the entire world will appear to be full of love. Everything turns into love. Spectacles cover the eyes, but do not obstruct the vision. God is full of love. When you wear the spectacles of love, you see the correct colour and get the complete view. — Divine Discourse, Apr 26, 1997
When you have the love-filled vision, the whole cosmos appears Brahma-mayam (permeated by Divinity). When you see the world with the physical eye, it appears as a bundle of miseries from birth to death.
