Индия предстает перед миром как учитель человечества благодаря добродетели, стойкости и нравственной силе женщин — как прошлого, так и настоящего. Вы должны сохранять и взращивать эти качества, чтобы страна могла высоко держать голову среди других народов мира. Утвердите высокое положение матери в доме как хранительницы духовных идеалов и, следовательно, как Гуру для своих детей. Каждая мать должна участвовать в этом деле — содействовать раскрытию и постоянному проявлению Божественного сознания, дремлющего в каждом ребенке. Дети — это посевы на поле, дающие урожай, которым будет жить нация. Они — те опоры, на которых зиждется фундамент будущего страны. Они — корни национального древа, призванного принести плоды труда, поклонения и мудрости для следующего поколения. Движение «Шри Сатья Саи Бал Викас» было создано для того, чтобы питать эти корни, укреплять эти опоры и удобрять растущие посевы. — Божественная беседа, 10 июля 1974 г.

India stands forth as the teacher to humanity, thanks to the virtue, the fortitude, the moral strength of the women of the past and the present. You have to maintain these qualities and foster them so that she might hold her head high among the nations of the world. Establish the status of the mother in the home, as the upholder of spiritual ideals and therefore, the Guru of the children. Every mother must share in this effort—the expansion and steady manifestation of the God consciousness latent in every child. Children are the crops growing in the fields, to yield the harvest on which the nation has to sustain itself. They are the pillars on which the foundation of the nation’s future is built. They are the roots of the national tree, which has to give the fruits of work, worship and wisdom to the next generation. The Sri Sathya Sai Balvikas has been evolved in order to feed these roots, strengthen these foundation pillars and fertilise the growing crops. — Divine Discourse Jul 10, 1974
